Tax Manager

As a Tax Manager, your skills will directly contribute to supporting the goals of our valued clients by ensuring the Firm’s services are coordinated and organized to best meet the client’s needs and expectations; including:

Responsibilities

  • Assigning, supervising & consulting with staff
  • Reviewing work and/or monitoring the review by others
  • Being responsible for timely service delivery
  • Submitting work to the client for final approval and signature
  • Participating in the coaching and appraisal process
  • Planning for future services
  • Preparing internal reports regarding the client
  • Initiating and billing for services and ensuring Partner is kept apprised of any challenges
  • Serving as a mentor as needed

Qualifications

  • Highly knowledgeable about our clients’ organizations, and must provide a high level of service for the organizations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years supervisory or job management experience in public accounting
  • CPA certification
  • Thorough knowledge of the tax reporting process
  • Member in good standing with appropriate professional organization(s)
  • Highly competent in MS Office and other service area specific software
  • Tax research proficiency
  • Advanced understanding of personal and business tax returns, within a Public Accounting firm
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform well individually as well as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Willingness to adapt to changing situations and needs in a positive manner
  • Experience in non-profit and/or international areas is a plus, but not required
