Every other month, we feature two MNMW team members, providing you with information to help you get to know us better!

Michael Tarabokija, A+, MCP

When most people think of their IT department they envision behind-the-scenes experts who show up at their desk when the computer is crashing. While that is true a majority of the time, Michael Tarabokija at MNMW has served in a much broader role for the firm and our clients since 2004. It is not out of the norm for companies to have IT departments, what is a bit more unusual is for a company like MNMW to dispatch its own IT expert to help its clients. Michael regularly works with clients of the firm to assist them in determining the best server, software and program packages for their needs, along with setting up the best cybersecurity options available.

Being in the business of technology can be a 24-hour gig, so Michael works a lot of hours. But he is passionate about his family time and makes sure to enjoy regular vacations and activities with his wife and children as much as possible. Among their top picks of trips are cruising to any destination, visiting Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and taking regular jaunts up to Orlando with the kids to go to Disney World. Here at home, Michael focuses on the quality time, even currently serving as the head coach for his children’s soccer team.

Michael’s journey to the technology world started early in life. He grew up learning and loving computers along with all of the intricacies that came with Windows software programs. This excitement for learning helped mold those interests into a full-fledged career. In fact, Michael said that if it weren’t for Bill Gates, he may not even be in the IT field. Because of Gates’ digital creation, Michael was constantly challenged and intrigued, which put him on the path of working in information technology.  The IT world encompasses a lot of things to learn. This is why one of the quotes Michael refers to often is, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

Of course, we mentioned that working in the world of technology can bring on long hours. SO it should be no surprise that Michael is a bit of a coffee connoisseur. He really enjoys purchasing raw coffee beans, roasting them himself and then grinding them down to create the perfect cup of java! After all, it does take a lot of caffeine to work those late nights and remain focused.

So while Michael is often behind-the-scenes at MNMW, he plays a critical role in the daily operations with various systems and software’s. If you happen to catch him when you stop by, you will probably find him with a good cup of coffee hunkered down behind a computer screen.

Sundance Turner

Her personality is a lot like her name: bright, sunny and positive. Sundance Turner joined the MNMW front office in 2016 and has been one of the friendly faces greeting clients and visitors in our Fort Myers location ever since. When at work, you can find her completing new client set-ups, billing, deposits, processing engagement letters and more to meet the needs of our clients and our team. She is just as busy off-the-clock, caring for her two active little girls and spending time with her husband.  She loves spending time with her family with movie nights, school activities, special holidays, etc. On top of that, she has quite a creative side hobby, too, where she makes soaps and runs her own rabbitry. That’s right, she has a rabbit-raising enterprise, where she currently has seven rabbits at home (in addition to their dog named Cookie). She stumbled on this venture of rabbitry accidentally when her children received two “female” rabbits one Christmas. Six months later, they were surprised with the gift that keeps on giving when the rabbits produced a litter of six babies. She finds that while there is a lot of work in this unique industry and taking care of the rabbits can be quite soothing.

Her daughters are her world, and they inspire her every day to be the best version of herself. She feels that the quote from pastor Charles Swindoll best fits her “…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you…we are in charge of our attitudes.” Her actions and thoughts are often guided by nature, compassion and intuition. She hopes one day she can cross Bali, Indonesia, off her bucket-list since it is a place of peace and tranquility.

BUT – Not only is she crafty and runs her own rabbit enterprise, she has a cosmetology license as well. She is truly a queen of all trades! Something that may be clear through this feature is that Sundance is curious, unique and open-minded. She feels that sometimes society places a “norm” on how people should look, feel and behave, but she wants everyone to know that we are all special and sometimes feeling odd or different from others is good. Life would be boring if we were all the same. Sundance truly brings a bright new view to things in our office, and we hope you get the chance to meet her when you stop by!
