Each month, MNMW features two team members, providing you with information to help you get to know us better!
Daniela has been a Tax Accountant with MNMW since May of 2014, being drawn to our firm because of the unique culture and working environment. She learned of the Vision and Mission of MNMW and knew it was a perfect fit. Daniela is fluent in Bulgarian, and is a great asset to the team, working with MNMW’s international accounts.
When you do not find her in the office, Daniela is spending time with her husband, daughter, and even their yellow lab. Some of the activities they enjoy include traveling to new places, and taking time to visit the beaches right here in southwest Florida.
Daniela was born and raised in Europe, and sees moving to the U.S. as one of the major highlights in her life, outside of the birth of her daughter and marrying her best friend. Even though she was born in Europe, she did not get to see much of it growing up. Daniela hopes to plan future trips to visit Greece, Spain, Italy, and more.
She has a passion to help others and enjoys her role in the firm, which allows her to help domestic and international clients. As she was going through her business management degree, Daniela felt a stronger pull to numbers, and proceeded on the path to become an accountant. It is inspiring to her when she sees people carry around a “Can Do” attitude and she loves the advice she received once to just “Let Go” of things that you have no control over. Overall, she is a passionate person and loves this quote from George Burns “It is better to be failure at something you love then success in something you hate!”
Susan Brehm manages the Naples office for Markham Norton Mosteller Wright (MNMW), having joined the firm in February of 2017. She also meets with clients to help them with their tax returns and performs forensic accounting and investigation as a member of the litigation team.
Growing up, and even today, her parents have been the biggest inspiration and influence in her life. They shared with her key traits such as being bold, appreciating all that life has to offer, and understanding that anything is possible if you always believe in yourself and never give up. These traits have made her the successful person she is today, both personally and professionally.
Susan LOVES adventure and traveling. She has parasailed over a shipwreck in waters off Aruba; soared on one of the longest zip lines in the continental U.S. in New Hampshire; gone scuba diving in the coral reefs off Key Largo; stared down the gullet of a manta ray as it approached through the light at night off the Kona coast in Hawaii; and had a surprise face-to-face meeting with a manatee in Crystal River, FL. She has also raced and worked as part of a crew in a winning America’s Cup yacht in St. Maarten; swam with whale sharks in the Ocean Voyager exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium as well as sand tiger sharks in the coral reef exhibit at the Florida Aquarium; watched feeding humpback whales in the Stellwagen Bank waters off Provincetown, MA and a blue whale in the Santa Barbara, CA channel islands. As you can tell, Susan is up for exciting experiences, so if you see her ask her about one of her most recent adventures!
