Florida consumers will have an opportunity to save money and energy by purchasing ENERGY STAR and WaterSense appliances tax free starting  this Friday, September 19th and continuing through Sunday, September 21st.

During this time, sales and use tax is inapplicable on the first $1,500 of the sales price of a new Energy Star or WaterSense product. A “WaterSense product” is defined as a bathroom sink faucet, faucet accessory, high-efficiency toilet or urinal, shower head, or weather or sensor-based irrigation controller that is recognized as water efficient by the WaterSense program sponsored by the EPA and that is affixed with a WaterSense label.
