Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company is pleased to announce that team member Kelsey Thompson has recently passed the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) exam and met the requirements to become a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Thompson joined Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company in 2006 as a member of the firm’s Litigation, Forensic Accounting and Mediation Services team. She earned a master’s degree in accounting and taxation from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2011 and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2012.
In order to become a CFE, a candidate must meet the ACFE’s character, experience and education requirements for the CFE credential, and demonstrate knowledge in four areas critical to the fight against fraud: Fraudulent Financial Transactions, Fraud Prevention and Deterrence, Legal Elements of Fraud and Fraud Investigation.
