Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company P.A. has been named presenting sponsor for the inaugural Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award, which recognizes a small to mid-sized Southwest Florida business for its overall success, will be presented Wednesday, May 23 at 6 p.m. in the university’s Cohen Center (Student Union) ballroom.

Carl L. Gould, a lifelong entrepreneur, business mentor and award-winning coach, is the keynote speaker.  Author of “The 7 Stages of Small-Business Success From Startup to 7 Figures in Three Years or Less,” Gould will provide entrepreneurs and business owners a step-by-step formula for taking their businesses to the next level.

We are committed to working with small businesses to help them achieve success,” said Karen Mosteller, CPA, CHBC and business consulting partner for the firm. “Partnering with the SBDC at FGCU on this new award is an excellent way to recognize achievement as well as motivate and inspire all business owners.”

Businesses located in Collier, Lee, Glades, Hendry and Charlotte counties are eligible for the award. Candidates must be in business for at least three years, exhibit a high level of success, and demonstrate innovations, achievements and local impact.
